Levec was a drug dealer, moving large amounts of cocaine into Miami. He had a secret deal with the Miccosukee tribe where Chief Jumper would benefit from money given from Levec's drug deals for needed improvements on the reservation, in exchange for keeping his braves under control, as they have been interfering in Levec's dealings. In 1988 two such raids prevented deals between Levec and Menendez, and Levec's requests to the Chief did not stop them, so Levec eliminated his security chief, Anthony Acosta, and planned to do the same to the Chief, but the Chief's son, Joe Dan Jumper, took his commandos to Levec's place and killed everyone there, including Levec.
