Officer Maureen Lin is an officer of the New York Police Department. After city utility worker Calvin Banks went missing, the police sent out a search party for him, but called it off after three days. However, because Banks was Lin's brother-in-law, she vowed to keep searching for him to bring her sister closure. She met Michelangelo in the Sewer on her search, when he saved her from a collapsing archway. Michelangelo made a deal with her to help her search for Banks if she didn't tell anyone that she saw him. Together, the two of them encountered a mutated flatworm colony going by the moniker Wyrm, and found out that Wyrm had killed Banks. Lin and Michelangelo defeated Wyrm and escaped the Sewer.
