Freddy Smith is a former NASCAR driver from Kings Mountain, NC. He competed in two Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Both of those came in 1979, when Smith debuted at Rockingham. Starting 34th in the thirty-seven car field, Smith completed all but 40 laps to finish 16th. He barely missed that mark the race race at Atlanta. There, he completed all but fifteen laps in route to a still-respectable 18th place effort.
