Maccus was originally created for a comic made using screenshots from Star Wars: Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast. The comic was cut, but Maccus's character was recycled for other uses. In the Dawnbreaker series, which author Ty294 considers non-canon with the rest of his work, Maccus is mentioned as having been killed by gangster Wurak Rowan, another character recycled by the other from a cancelled project.
