Strikers 1945 is a series of military-themed, vertically scrolling Shoot 'em Ups by Psikyo. The games remained mostly Arcade-exclusive. The general plot deals with the aftermath of World War II, where a world-coalition is formed to combat various terrorist organizations, some of which are revealed to employ alien technology. All fighters are based on real-world planes.
