Delilah Briarwood, known as Lady Briarwood, was a very powerful human wizard—a necromancer, according to Cassandra. She and her husband, Lord Sylas Briarwood, slaughtered the de Rolo family except for Percy and Cassandra, then seized Whitestone for a dark ritual involving Vecna. Although Sylas was a vampire, Delilah still loved him deeply. About five years after Whitestone fell to the Briarwoods, Percy returned with Vox Machina, fomented a citizens' rebellion, disrupted the Briarwoods' ritual, killed Sylas, and then killed a grieving Delilah. She however was revealed to be alive in Marquet over a year later, seemingly completing her initial ritual to revive Vecna.
