A lot of people like to think the armies of the Nexal Empire have been pacified, with the peaceful Northcamp and the solemn Iog as the sole remaining settlements claiming membership in the once sprawling empire. These people, suffice to say, are sorely mistaken. The Nexal War Band still roams Shintolin, tearing down settlements and terrorizing the natives when they're not too busy carving down entire forests in the names of their gods. Should you find yourself lucky, you might see them one day. Should you find yourself luckier, you might not.
