On the Human Path, once Ganz has left his note for Jack telling him he was leaving, you can speak to Cody at any time to learn that he has lost his mother, Rynka's, prized necklace, which she told him not to take from the house. Jack can find the necklace by the barrels in Path to the Beast Pit. Return it to Cody. Note, this is only the first thing you have to do to recruit Rynka. It's a multi-day process.
