Dick Swanson has served on the Mill Valley City Council since November, 1999, holding the office of mayor during the 2003-04 term. He previously served as Chair of the city's Planning Commission. He is also a delegate to the Transportation Authority of Marin and Marin County Transit District, as well as the Community Financial Advisory Commission of the Mill Valley School District.
