Peroz King of Kings ruled Makuran approximately 650 years before the arrival of the "Misplaced Legion" of "Ronam" soldiers in the Empire of Videssos. During Peroz's reign, the Videssian Avtokrator Likinios bribed Khamorth nomads from the plains of Pardraya north of the Degird River to raid Makuran in order to keep that kingdom from interfering in Videssian schemes further east. Peroz, along with most of his army, was killed campaigning against Khamorth nomads on the Pardrayan steppe. Following his death his cousin Smerdis seized the throne.
