The Governor of Draethos was a political figure in the Draethos government. Due to the Draethos' xenophobic attitudes, the Governor's duty was to provide a bridge between the Draethos people and foreign entities. The Governor's most important duty was to report to the King of Draethos on the status of the Galactic Republic, and eventually, the Galactic Empire. The governor possessed the ability to secede Draethos from the Galactic Republic, as well as the Galactic Empire, though Palpatine would never have allowed it.
