Robin Greyjoy was the ninth son of Lord Quellon Greyjoy, the Lord of the Iron Islands. His mother was a Piper of Pinkmaiden Castle. Robin was sickly and mentally deficient and did not live to adulthood. His mother died giving birth to his stillborn sister.
