During the Republic's counterattack at Iridonia, the squadron flew combat aerospace patrol for the Third Battalion. When Sith reinforcements arrived on the scene, the 52nd, along with the 23rd, attacked the vanguard of enemy interceptors head-on, dealing tremendous damage to their opponents as the rest of Rear Admiral Hetton's task force hit the Interdictor cruisers from behind.
