Nanny of the Maroons was a Madrigal and a Jamacian freedom fighter. She helped hide the Clue Mace. She is featured on the Jamaican $500 note, as she is one of the most famous Jamaicans that ever lived. She was instrumental in defeating the British occupants during their War of Independence. There is a monument in Jamaica dedicated to Nanny of the Maroons at National Hero's Park which Amy and Dan go to in Storm Warning. When they get there, they find a scorpion, guarding a gold strip.
