On the September 13th episode of THW Tuesday Night Evolution, Landon Crabtree made the announcement that the THW No Rulez Championship was suspended, and legally unable to be defended in the THW company until further notice. Then champion, Donagh Brannigan was stripped of the championship afterwards from failing to meet house show dates. On September 20, THW General Manager Philip Kingston sanctioned the activation of the Pure Championship and awarded the title name to Landon Crabtree. On September 21, Landon gained the physical title belt from Wildcat Championship Customs. The Championship was first seen on THW's Oblivion Pay Per View before Landon's match against rival Noah Van Dyke.
