Geraldton Gold Miners and Keewatin Millers squared off in the Intermedtiate A hockey finals for the Thunder Bay Championship. Geraldton has just finished and won the series in the NSHL by defeating Marathon 3 games to 0. The series with Keewatin opened in Geraldton with Keewatin taking the opener 7-5. Geraldton came back to win the next game 12-8 and the series moved to Keewatin. Keewatin won the next two games by identical 6-3 scores and moved on to the playoffs against Dauphin.
