Sir. Lancelot, also known as the Knight of the Lake, was a Knight of Britannia, serving in the Ritter der Tafelrunde, under his close friend King Arthur. Like his King and his fellow Knights, and unbeknownst to the rest of the world, Lancelot was actually a powerful Quincy, you used his powers to defend Britannia against not only human invaders, but also Hollow threats. He was longtime friends with Arthur, but ended up having an affair with Arthur's wife, Lady Guinevere, which is one of the events that ended up leading to the downfall of Britannia. He was also close with Shikyo Fushiawase of the Gotei 13, and the two would often drink Sake with each other when they visited each other.
