MUIR (stylized as M U I R) is a conglomerate corporation that is a highly competitive player in a myriad of industries throughout the galaxy. The conglomerate was formed shortly after the Battle of Endor, by Kashi Kato, who had a vision for a new galaxy. Knowing that with the death of the Emperor and the Empire there was going to be a wave of systemic change, Kashi set a meeting with a large number of corporations and companies, mainly smaller entities. These entities had never been united against the corrupt Imperial system, and he appealed to their sense of survival.
