The Dalworthington Gardens Department of Public Safety is a small combination paid/volunteer department in Tarrant County, Texas. The agency services a population of 2,500 residents in a 2.2 square mile area. The dozen full-time, paid personnel of the department are certified police officers that are cross-trained as firefighters and EMTs. These officers are supplemented by a number of volunteer firefighters when required. Police vehicles in the community are equipped with firefighting and medical supplies.
