Of the 96 big band arrangements submitted to Soviet censors in preparation for the 1976 One O'Clock Lab Band Concert Tour of the Soviet Union, "Mi Burrito" was one of two that were prohibited. Soviet officials gave no explanation. The One O'Clock, without announcing the titles, performed both — "Mi Burrito" and "St. Thomas" (arranged by Gene Glover) — live via satellite from Moscow on NBC on July 4, 1976.
