A minshal was a type of creature grown by the Yuuzhan Vong for its shell. Once the shell was discarded by the creature, it was used as a form of shelter. Slaves on the planet Bimmiel lived in a minshal village. After the end of the Yuuzhan Vong War, the Yuuzhan Vong established many of them on Zonama Sekot.
