The 1985 Budweiser 500 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Dover International Speedway on May 19, 1985. Bill Elliott dominated the event, leading 336 of the 500 laps in route to a dominating one-lap, six-second victory on Harry Gant and the rest of the field.
