Lady Clare Isma Hartnell (née Pierrepont) (2 September 1884 - 10 May 1975). The second daughter of the Hon. Evelyn Pierrepont and Sophia née Arkwright. She married Fred Somerset Hartnell on 20 September 1919. A member of Chelsea Borough Council she was Mayor of Chelsea in 1939-1941. In 1940 her brother succeeded to the title of Earl of Manvers and she and her sister were granted the style and precedence of the daughter of an Earl by Royal Warrant. She was subsequently a member of Dorset County Council from 1949-62. Widowed in 1947, she died in 1975, aged 90. An image here [1]
