Africa has been a remarkably conflict-free continent since the Reorganization. Only three main conflicts have existed: * The Mauretania - Sahrawi Conflict: Mauretania lays claim to a thin fifty mile wide stretch of land in southern Sahrawi leading to the ocean, so that it isn't completely landlocked. The United Nations Counsel on Africa awarded this to Mauretania in 2007, but the nation of Sahrawi disputes that claim and continues to occupy it. A state of undeclared war continues in this region, leading Mauretania to sink farther and farther into economic stress as its access to the sea is cut off. * The Boer Free State - Orange Free State Conflict: Fought only in international court rooms, this war involved the right to the moniker "Free State".
