An Essence-Ring is an object of power that contains a substantial fragment of a high-power being, such as gods, demons, angels, and monsters. It gives its' wielder the power to essentially turn into a miniature embodiment of the being that it represents. They have been made of a fragment of various higher beings, both good and evil, and have underwent vast and extensive magical sealing and bonding ceremonies to fully bind them to their wielders and allow their total power to be used without the residual consciousness of the represented being overtaking the mind of their user.
