It was rejected several times over a decade, almost being passed in 30 BBY, 49% vote in support, but was ultimately passed five years later. It granted healthcare to every sentient being, regardless of insurance coverage at the expense of higher overall taxes. Beings were allowed to have their own specified coverage plan, but the Galactic Healthcare was primarily for the masses that could not afford coverage. This bill was said to have pushed Magnum Rockwater's career further and allowed him to enjoy more influence in the Galactic Senate.
