Frances Weldon (d. 1994) was a prostitute living and working in Hollywood, California. She was stabbed to death by a client, Edward Gunn, in early 1994 in what Gunn claimed was self-defense, though minor details of the scene conflicted with his claim. Her death was investigated by LAPD detectives Harry Bosch and Jerry Edgar, who arrested Gunn with the intention of tripping him up on the details of his story.
