S'latch is an intelligent "throwback" Sleestak who was born with the knowledge of the ancient Altrusian people. Rick and Will meet S'latch in the tunnels of the The Lost City, while investigating the cavern of the Sleestak God and being thrown down into the pit when caught by some Sleestak. S'latch and Rick almost succeed in climbing up and out of the pit, but S'latch falls and injures his leg. telling Rick to leave him behind. Rick insists on helping him out of the pit.
