The 1999 Exide NASCAR Select Batteries 400 was a Winston Cup (now Nextel Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on September 11, 1999. Tony Stewart led 333 of the 400 laps in route to a 1.1-second victory on teammate Bobby Labonte, Stewart's first career victory. Points leader Dale Jarrett finished 3rd and held a 270-point edge on Mark Martin (35th).
