The target audience of the group are the Nipponbashi otaku and as such the Peropero Candies are Osaka's answer to Tokyo's Akihabara48, though much smaller in scale. "Peropero Candies" literally means "candies that you can lick", or lollipops. The groups members, at the time of formation, ranged in age from 14 to 19 years old.
