Athena One was a NASA mission crewed by Astronauts Maj. Kelly Woods and fellow Astronaut Osterman. The original objective, exploring new energy sources, was cut short by a series of mishaps that led to Maj. Woods diverting to Skylab with Osterman injured. The docking ring is jammed once they arrive at Skylab, and Col. Austin is launched on a rescue mission. While the rescue was a success, the mission of Athena One was not. It did, however, successfully launch America's first female Astronaut, who performed brilliantly in a crisis situation.
