The Black Swan-class large sloops were a type of starship on active duty in Starfleet during the late 23rd century. They entered service about 2268. (Federation Reference Series 6) Like the Guillemot-class sloops and the Halcyon-class minesweepers, the Black Swans were a successor class to the Flower-class sloops of the Four Years War period.
