Raian served as a Jedi historian during the Hutt War crisis. He was born on an unknown world, though he was moved shortly after birth, along with his parents, to Iridonia where he would live out most of his childhood. Born into the Kol family, a clan famous for its Force-sensitives, Raian was discovered at the age of eleven by the Jedi, and offered to join their ranks as a member of the Jedi Order. Reluctantly accepting, he was taken to the Jedi monastery on Tython to be trained as a Jedi by Master Jasen Korr.
