The Area Neighborhood is the first venue in Guitar Hero. It is featured as a make-shift stage in somebody's basement. It is filled with shag carpet, matress, and magazines on the wall to soak up the sound so neighbors won't complain. The washing machine and heaters go haywire when in the green. Despite being very dark venue, the basement is lit with what appears to be Christmas lights on the ceiling and stair bannister.
