Mercedes-Benz do Brasil is the largest manufacturer of trucks and buses in Central and South America, and the largest Daimler AG plant outside of Germany. The company is a fully owned subsidiary of Daimler AG, and began production in Sao Bernardo do Campo, Brazil in 1956. With some 14,000 employees, the plant covers 1,000,000 sqm.
