In December 1947, after 90 years, the Brooklyn plant was closed. Manufacturing facilities were then moved to Englewood, New Jersey, Hastings, MI, Toledo, Ohio, Canton, Ohio and Salem, Ohio. The last remaining E.W. Bliss Company facility was in Hastings, MI (now part of Bliss Clearing Niagara, owned by German company Schuler).
