Terapusmordax infest Kong's lair, cave serpents live in the waters within the cave itself, and juvenile V.rexes live in the midsection of the mountain. In the video game, rather than a steep, vertical staircase, the stairs leading up to the lair are zigzag, and stop at many points up the mountain, at which Jack must journey into the mountain to find more stairs.
