Lieutenant Berkeley was a human Starfleet officer who was assigned to the USS Enterprise in the 2260s. Berkeley was cross-trained in many duties aboard the Enterprise and was often assigned to the sciences division, engineering division, or transporter operations. In late 2266, Berkeley served as a science officer, and was one of several crewman to admire Yeoman Janice Rand as she walked past. (TOS episode: "The Man Trap")
