Toji was the bodyguard and chief follower of Shinroku, leader of a small cell of Spider Clan maho-tsukai. They settled in the ruins of a Naga outpost in the forest near the small village of Mushi Mura. Shinroku wanted to create a hidden pocket of Tainted land that could be used as a safe haven for both creatures of the Shadowlands and worshippers of Fu Leng.
