Health insurance costs have nearly doubled in the last decade. In some cases, employer health insurance costs have more than doubled. The increase in health care cost has caused a "trickle-down" economic policy for consumer's share of the health care burden. As costs have risen for employers, employers can handle price increases in three ways: 1. * absorb the price increase 2. * make benefit changes to offset the price increase 3. * pass along cost increases to employees This question was asked on the wiki: American Health Care Wiki.
