The Maverik Center is a 10,100 seat multi-purpose arena in West Valley City, Utah, southwest of Salt Lake City. The arena opened on September 21, 1997, and was used as an official Olympic Venue during the 2002 Winter Olympics, for ice hockey. The arena is a major venue in the area for numerous concerts and live touring productions. Originally called the E Center, West Valley City sold the naming rights to the "E Center" to Maverik convenience stores in 2010.
