When John Stape attempted to restart his teaching career under the false name of Colin Fishwick in April 2010 after being released from Highfield Prison for kidnap and false imprisonment, he approached Daisyfield High School on his first day with some trepidation. The Pupil was one of several boys gathered at the school gate who mistook John's stares and yelled abuse about being a pervert, causing John a momentary shock that his true identity had been revealed. A teaching colleague, Brian Packham, overheard the remarks and made the boy, Wilson, apologise.
