Quator was a female Pathon in the 24th century. Shortly before reaching the Age of Choosing, she encountered two aliens, named Chakotay and B'Elanna, who had been temporarily stranded on her planet. She guided them up the Mount of Kubl'a in order to contact their starship. Her time and discussions with these aliens inspired her, once reaching the Age of Chosing, to become a fiction writer. Within a cycle, she was being lauded as one of the most promising and inventive authors in a hundred cycles. (VOY - Strange New Worlds II short story: "Touched")
