Janet Winters writes the High Society pages for the local newspaper. She yearns for her big break, her big story but it keeps alluding her. Her piece on civic corruption was canned and then a piece on racketeering was lightly re-written under the byline of a male colleague. She was investigating the warehouse district just before the huge fire and is convinced something will come of it. She saw something that night, as wild as it was, and no doubt someone is trying to cover it up.
