Wenley Moor nuclear research facility was a nuclear power research centre built in the late 20th century at Wenley Moor. After a series of power drains occurred, UNIT went there to investigate, and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart later summoned the Third Doctor and Liz Shaw for help. The Silurians had caused the power drains. The Silurians operated nearby and had woken up from hibernation after their predicted end of the world event millions of years prior to the incident. The Silurians attempted to infect the people there with a virus that would end the human race, but a cure was found and later mass produced with the the Doctor and Liz' help.
