Much Ado About Nothing is a 2012 American independent film by Joss Whedon, who directed and produced it, as well as writing the screenplay adaptation. Based on William Shakespeare's play of the same name, the film stars Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Clark Gregg, Reed Diamond, Fran Kranz, Sean Maher, Spencer Treat Clark, Riki Lindhome and Ashley Johnson. Initially premiering at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, Much Ado About Nothing is scheduled for a June 7, 2013 theatrical release.
