Fielding Yost was the U-M football coach for 25 seasons, from 1901-23, and 1925-26. He led the team to 6 national championships, and won 165 games ,second in U-M history to Bo Schembechler. He was an excellent man whose vision of a huge stadium gave the foundation for what is now Michigan Stadium(built in 1927). He had an extraordinary win percentage of .833. He was famous for his "point a minute" teams.
