The Rancor currently has a civil relationship with the Empire. This is despite several major incidents in the past, such as the ship being chased off by a swarm of TIE fighters as its first captain and cruise director were killed in the destruction of Gastus. The current management of the ship is in no way connected to that previous crew, and no apparent grudge is held over the incident. In fact, after being salvaged over Tatooine, the ship was overhauled at CEC Shipyards. The ship currently has a neutrality agreement in place with the Empire, and it visits Imperial space with some frequency.
