The Enchanted Apples of Oz is an Oz comic book written and drawn by Eric Shanower, originally published by First Comics and later reprinted by Dark Horse Comics. Dorothy Gale, the Scarecrow and Billina meet Valynn, a woman who protects a garden containing an enchanted apple tree, the fruit of which contains the essence of Oz magic. A magician named Bortag wants the apples so he can use them to revive the Wicked Witch of the South.
