Ussegssirr was a concept known to the Gorn civilization. Translated to mean "manifest destiny", it formed one of the basic tenets of the Gorn philosophy. Their race, long before they had attained space travel, believed that the strong have the right and the duty to extend their dominion over the weak. It was thus considered wrong for the strong to be limited or denied. This combined with gessegrissgir formed the base line of Gorn honor. (FASA RPG module: Demand of Honor)
